Recieved a stimulus check in error

I believe you mean you received a stimulus check that you were not entitled to. You have two options for how to proceed. You can keep or cash the check and wait to see if the IRS requests that you return it, in which case you can do that.

Your other option is to mail the uncashed check to the IRS, including a note as to why you think it does not belong to you.
