Received a 1099-G / 1099-int Va state saying they over paid me

To enter your 1099-G for state and local refunds for a prior year:

• Click Federal > Wages & Income
• Scroll down to Other Common Income
• Click Start next to Refunds Received for State/Local Tax Returns
• Proceed through the interview to enter your 1099-G information.
• Once you get to the Tell us about your refund screen, you will be able to select the Tax Year of Refund.  You will select 2012.
