To enter your 1099-G for state and local refunds for a prior year:
- Click Federal > Wages & Income
- Scroll down to Other Common Income
- Click Start next to Refunds Received for State/Local Tax Returns
- Proceed through the interview to enter your 1099-G information.
- Once you get to the Tell us about your refund screen, you will be able to select the Tax Year of Refund. You will select 2012.
