Ready Soon

It is now the 10th of January and I am not able to print my W-2 or 1099 due to the system saying forms will be

ready soon. Why is this happening? I have updated everyday and I still get the message "Ready Soon"

This is unacceptable and I am not sure I will use Turbo Tax again I have been a member for years too.

TT says this is now updated and ready to go in online and will be all set for desktop later today on 1-10-2025.

Not yet ready or available as of now. I updated the TT Home and Business.

They said "later " today----but did not specify an exact time.

IRS has not started accepting tax returns.

There is no reason to print W-2 or 1099 if you plan to e-File.

@fanfare I think the OP was asking about printing W-2's and 1099's for employees and contractors who worked for his business---he was posting from Home and Business.  There have been some issues for users who need to issue those documents to their employees and contractors.   The issue is resolved now, according to the moderators.

Have you been able to download and print yet?

Mine says ready soon but it has been that way since January 3

I check multiple times a day. Turbo Tax has had many complaints

this year because of this delay. After years of using this software I am going

to change to another company

Yikes so annoying

I have to send the 1099's and W-2 out to my employees and contractors that's why I need them to print

Ready Soon

Yeah, I updated my Home & Business program and it still says Ready Soon.  Just keep checking and updating.  They  are not due to the IRS and your people until Jan 31.

I have just applied for IRIS TCC, and it is now live and active. Please submit the 1099 NEC using IRIS TCC and request a refund for TurboTax Home & Business. This product has been nothing but problematic. I have completely lost trust in TurboTax's competency due to a lack of technical support. The live support agents seem less knowledgeable than tax professionals with no experience at all.

I am also concerned about this. Last year, I submitted the 1099 before now. My software is up to date. It is now January 15, 2024. Come on, Turbotax. Fix this.

The TurboTax Desktop program is being updated. You can check back at the end of the week or as an alternative, you can go to this link, Quick Employer Forms, and use your TurboTax Account to log in and e-file from there.
