Well Intuit is clearly wrong!
Microsoft is offering free updates for security and bug issues - I signed up and have received several updates.
This is the heading of a Windows 11 article in a PC Magazine email (2/2/2026):
""We Need to Improve.' Microsoft Admits Windows 11 Has Too Many Annoying Bugs""
This is one of the reasons why so many people and corporations don't want to upgrade Windows. Intuit seems to be ignoring the facts about Windows 10 vs. Windows 11.
Intuit is suggesting On Line versions of Turbotax for Windows 10 users. The reviews on Amazon for Turbotax Delux 2025 are not good.
Intuit says they are not supporting running TurboTax 2025 running on Windows 10 because it will not be secure, but they do support running the Canadian version of TurboTax 2025 on Windows 10. So, I guess if I'm Canadian security doesn't matter to Intuit.
2024 version seemed a bit crappy anyways and did not give much decent guidance on a few questions I had. It is time to switch anyways and file a paper return and let the feds use the return to heat the white house in their scrap mail furnace. Other than that I will find another app that works on my older PC with W10. Nerds
Thank you for shharig your sentiment, A lot of us share it. These guys are not reading the room (which is much bigger than this thread). I don't know anyone comfortable sharing this type of information to cloud. A lot of people don't. Since last year, I've been looking for other services for tax software.
