Why was I overcharged this year?!!! I should have been charged 82-83.00 but instead was charged 123.00. I'm furious. I've contacted customer service and still no reply 🤬

My original bill was 82-83.00 but I was charged 123.00. I even have an email demanding payment in the amount stated above of 83.00 even though I haven't received my refund yet. I was told the amount of 83.00 would be deducted from my bank account on April 5th 2024. I agreed to pay this amount on May 5th 2024. I finally got my refund on April 16th 2024 but the amount deducted from my refund wasn't 83.00 it was 123.00. I've contacted customer service and pissed 😡 customer and still TurboTax has not even tried to call me, email me, or even text me. Why????? TurboTax had no problem sending me a demand for payment email but when I asked them for help they couldn't even get back to me about my concerns. This is my 3rd and final year I will have used TurboTax. Previous years have been a great pleasant experience and thought I'd use TurboTax indefinitely but after what I've endured this year I'm going to have no choice but to uninstall the TurboTax app and terminate my account all together. It breaks my heart to do this but I've tried to have my questions answered and overpayment refunded but TurboTax refuses to respond to me even though I've been patient and respectful. I'm done with TurboTax and will probably go back to liberty tax next year 😔

Only TurboTax support can address an billing issue, not anyone on this user forum.

 

You will have to contact TurboTax support for assistance with this problem. Use the key words Billing Issue

They have done the same thing to me. I actually got a person on the phone and she was clueless about what I was talking about. I explained it over and over with no results. Luckily mine was only $20 but living paycheck to paycheck that is a lot. Hopefully you will get better results than I did. But I’m definitely going to keep calling them. I got on the chat and it gave me the option to have them call me back so you might want to try that.

They were very deceptive in their business practices this year. I have been a Turbo Tax customer for over 10 years and I feel totally taken advantage of. The tiers this tax year were deceiving, I always used premium because I have a few stock transactions every year. I received a pop-up notice the cost was 209 dollars, on sale for 199.00. I spoke to a person on-line before starting and then again after completing my taxes. The first person said I can downgrade when I pay. So I spent 10 hours over two days and completed. I tried to downgrade and was told I would have to start over, losing all the data. They said I signed up for Premium Live Support throughout the year, which I didn't even know was a thing, and never done.  The two people I was chatting with were purposely vague, another red flag in my opinion. I totally got taken advantage of and I am so frustrated after 10 plus years, I am seeking other companies. Ron L, Gallatin, TN.
