Why does my return keeps being rejected, because of my AGI. I am entering the number provided off the IRS's website. i dont know what else t

Try entering zero. It worked for me - and it's one of the suggestions from the IRS. (Go here and search for "adjusted" and you'll see it: https://www.irs.gov/about-irs/the-2022-tax-season-has-started-tips-to-help-you-file-an-accurate-retu...).

 

TurboTax told me my AGI was X. My printed return said it was X. The transcript from the IRS that TurboTax recommended getting said my AGI was X. I tried repeatedly and kept getting rejected. But apparently the IRS still hasn't finished processing all the returns from 2020 (even though they cashed my check long ago). So as far as they're concerned, I don't have an AGI for 2020. 

 

I changed my AGI to $0, resubmitted and got the notification that my return had been accepted less than a half-hour later. Good luck!

the AGI was correct but the efile was rejected.

Please try to enter 0 for your AGI.  For more details on this, please see the Help Article here.

I totally agree. This is the second year in the row for me where I have still the previous year return pending (not yet processed by IRS) and I have to go through the same process to put Prior AGI = 0 for both persons in our joint tax filing.). Not quite easy to do with TurboTax...

 

This process was clearly highlighted by the National Taxpayer Advocate Erin Collins in 2022 as reported by CNBC https://www.cnbc.com/2022/02/14/your-tax-return-may-get-rejected-if-last-years-filing-is-pending.htm....

 

How come Turbo Tax has NOT integrated this change in the electronic filing step of their application to ask if prior taxpayer return is still pending and put automatically Prior AGI= 0 in this case? Both TurboTax application and experts comments on their website are quite UNHELPFULL on that topic!
