I did the exact same thing. Come on TurboTax, fix this. I have a very long password from LastPass. You also make it where you cannot see the password you are typing in, so no wonder I keep having an issue.
I have the exact same problem. I am beyond frustrated with it. I can't tell if I typed it right or not. I use Lastpass too and this is MORE than annoying. It makes the product darn near unusable! I use it to import all kinds of stuff and it makes the product VERY HARD to use!
FIX IT!
I like the "try typing your password in" as in "if you fail, too bad"
This is LESS SECURE! Password managers are a thing, and they are more secure than easy to type in passwords. This is the last year I'll pay for this poor of an interface.
I can't believe Intuit thinks it's better to disable pasting into password field. What's worse is they also make it hidden! So there is no way to verify you typed it correctly.
So, if you use a password manager, like I do, instead of securely copy and paste, with auto clipboard destruction, I have have my password viewable, on screen, long enough to carefully type in each character and hope I don't mess it up. This means that
1) my password is exposed, on screen, much longer
2) I have to have an easy to type password so I don't mess it up
Frankly, TurboTax hasn't been worth it since the tax law changed to make minimum deductions higher.
FIX THIS before you lose more customers.
Vanguard and Fidelity have provided workarounds for this idiotic "security feature."
Other financial institutions have not.
