When will form 8582 be ready?

8582 still not working in RI and MA even though I received a notification from Turbo tax that form is now available. I have tried updating software several times.

@TeresaM  We are having this issue in many states, not just Maryland.  I have it in Virginia.

My filing has been ready for weeks and I can't file because it says the VA Form 8582 is not officially valid.

You are giving directions here on how to send a sanitized file to TT but you want a "token" - please explain what "token" that is so we can send it to TT.

This shouldn't be that difficult for TT to simply update the software so the Form 8582 is correct for each state.

I folowed the directions to send the sanitized file. Once you send it gives you a "Token number" which you need to post here so they can look up your sanitized file.

what is taking TT so long to fix this issue, I tried calling the support line and it said i have to pay for the premium to be able to talked to specialist, WTF, get on this TT.

I just got off the phone with the expert--they said there is a an issue with this form for everyone not just per certain states. There are technical problems with the form. There is a case log you can be added to to get notified when the issue gets corrected. I would suggest calling to get added to that list.

Brittney, many of us have been able to file our federal returns with the IRS, including the 8582 forms.  If good enough for the IRS, why so many problems with multiple states?

I am a VA filer. I filed my federal by e-file and am waiting to do state due to the 8582 error on state that has been ongoing (see image). TT posted a way to report it (see other image), but I do not have an "Online" tab. This is terrible customer service. Some folks recommend filing state on another program, but I paid for this program because I like how it works from year-to-year (except this year). Please provide a solution.

I wrote the president of Intuit this afternoon and did receive a response.  Outlining the problem we are having and the public relations problem they are having by not resolving their software problem and also sending notices that it has been fixed.  Will see if anything happens.

• Schedule F still missing after  paying for the forms 30 days ago!
• Turbotax intentions are really QUESTIONED @ this point, grab the $$$$ & run, have noticed your FILE FREE is anything but FREE, checked those sites out, cost was $170 for the forms & $32.00 per state for E- filing...........that certainly isn't FREE!

Have similar with 2020 returns, Trubotax claimed there was an error with my 1099 Misc, then claimed IRS rejected my filing............Turbotax NEVER sent in my forms in according to IRS, they show NO filing status,m yet Intuit has been lying to me for 11  months about my refund!  Had to file Amended returns for the FED & (2) States;   NO REFUNDS!

Oh my that’s insane! I hope you get it worked out! I’m thinking this is the last time I’ll be using turbo tax.

I honestly do not think TT cates, I've seen no communication on if or when there will be a fix.
