Tax Year 2020: TurboTax Updates on Unemployment Tax Relief

Turbo tax is not letting me enter on Schedule 1 line 8 for unemployment compensation relief.  When will this work?

Wait until tomorrow morning, they are told me will be updating tomorrow, but do not hold your breath on what they say

Like all the other posts on this site, I'm pretty fed-up with the waiting.  If it's not updated by close of business today, the 25th, I will be exercising my 60-day right of return guarantee (I purchased from a retail store).  Furthermore, after nearly 30 years of using TT, this will be my last.

They updated the free web software on 3/18. They are silent on the release of the App update expectations.

IF THEY HAVE ALREADY UPDATED THE ONLINE UNEMPLOYMENT EXEMPTION, WHY DIDN'T THEY  UPDATE SIMILTANEOUSLY THE DESKTOP ? IT'S DOESN'T MAKE SENSE!

I was told that the online version had been updated and that they were expecting an update today, the 25th.   So far no update is available.    Does anyone know if we purchased online there would be any refund if we then chose to file with another company?   My concern is why they are not addressing this and keeping their customers in the loop of some sort of time frame.

It's March 25th, and TurboTax still has not updated their Home & Business online software for the $10,200 unemployment income exclusion.  I can't get an answer from TurboTax as to when they will update their online softwares.

3-25-21: Just tried to update my Turbotax software I purchased from Costco. Pop up message said I have the latest version. Last update installed on 3-18-21. I'm getting pretty annoyed at the snail's pace update on the downloaded/CD version of Turbotax. This is easy and simple calculation if people already paid unemployment taxes last year to the feds. I signed up to receive emails on software update. I have received zero communication on when software update will be provided. Get it together TurboTax!

While South Carolina has not made any formal changes in regard to the Unemployment Compensation exemption from the American Rescue Plan Act, South Carolina uses the federal taxable income to complete line 1 of the SC1040, which is South Carolina income. So the exemption for the unemployment flows through to the SC1040 when adjusted on the Federal return.

March 25th 10:05 pm and still no update to my desktop PREMIER software for the $10,200 unemployment

exclusion. Cant even edit line 8 of schedule 1 to do it myself. What' the story? Why doesn't Intuit

have to update their products?

Thanks. I’ll wait a few days for TT to update their software. But I may just reduce my clients unemployment amount by 10,200 in the edit mode. Thanks again.
