Whatever ttax phone rep that was talking that mess about a "portal" is inexperienced and knew just enough to be dangerous.

I know there are/were portals all over the place up in and around there.

But I seriously doubt anyone needs to open a portal for funds to enter the account ;  when sent to that account ;  with the correct routing number and account number

Funny because I personally know someone that got it on their turbotax card but it will not be available til the 14th

Billie, if your card has a routing and account number that is listed with the IRS, AND you receuved your refund on it...I think you will get it. You just, WE just gotta wait Monday morn thru Wednesday after lunch.

Better yet, can you defend where ANY of what that rep told you makes any sense?

The issue is, because you elected to have the funds taken out of your federal Return,  the i.r.s. send your $$$ to TURBOTAX FIRST.... So they 

(TURBOTAX) gets their $$ first, then TURBO TAX sends you your Refund! Santa Barbara is the umbrella for TurboTax, greendot is your debit/turbo card, which i believe is "METABANK", ALSO part of the Bancorp Corporation.. hope this helps!

greendot bank issued your debit card,  CORRECT. I assume your debit card has YOUR information on it?! The i.r.s DOESNT send your FULL REFUND "DIRECTLY" to your debit card issued by GREENDOT! TurboTax' gets YOUR FULL FEDERAL RETURN, TAKES WHAT IS THERES

and then from Santa Barbara (TurboTax'bank") they issue YOU, the remainder of your federal return.! BECAUSE TURBOTAX USES SANTA BARBARA BANK, the i.r.s. WILL NOT BE SENDING YOUR STIMULUS CHECK DIRECTLY TO YOUR GREENDOT/TURBOCARD!

Anyone who ELECTED DD to turbocard will be receiving a paper check, BY MAIL, probably in the summertime.SMH TURBOTAX!!!

So then you are saying turbo tax gets your paycheck that your employer can direct deposit into this same account if your statement is true then this would be true and the statement of getting paid with direct deposit 2 days early wouldn’t be true smh wrong... people have already stated they are getting notifications of the deposit but you are correct smh. You must work for turbo tax as well.

The straight up TRUTH is that Intuit, Turbo Tax, Green Dot AND Santa Barbara Bank absolutely REFUSED to allow the Treasury Department to send direct deposits to accounts held by Green Dot and Santa Barbara Bank.  They KNEW they would be refusing direct deposits via routing numbers issued for turbo cards and green dot cards back on March 26th as is illustrated in the attached email that was sent internally to Santa Barbara Bank tax preparers.  

They DID NOT make this information public knowledge or inform ANY taxpayers of this until the direct deposits has already gone out.  

When the direct deposits went out, they were refused and pinged back to the treasury where a paper check was automatically generated, leaving taxpayers with no option to change their direct deposit options.

THIS IS BANK FRAUD!  You would have to be absolutely blind not to see it.

Not even TurboTax workers can explain the inner workings of all that intertwined stuff that you just "Figurin on".

Rtg#, Acct#, 2019 refund received on it last month, currently active account, Trump got to get the money out. Hit the button! They ain't Playin??!! All that stupid mess now?

So, support your information by explaining how since the IRS can't send us a direct deposit, then:

      1) How can an employer?

       2) How can I do electronic funds transfer?

       3)WHY even have a routing and account number and a checking account function and a Visa logo?

This card is all of that, and more. Not just a here vehicle for sucking off tax fees. Otherwise once it gets empty they'd just say "Toss it" its not good for anything else.

Please respond with an intelligible answer. I would like to know if I am missing something.

Not nessisarily because we don't know for sure if turbo tax intercepts the money because that would mean it would have to go to a separate bank account. The money probably arrives on your card and green dot takes out turbos percentage. Then transfers it. And it happens all at once because you SIGNED AND AGREED. TO A CONTRACT. If your 1040 has the same information as that original green dot (turbo tax) card then you SHOULD have nothing to worry about. Anyone speaking on inter transactions between green dot the i.r.s and TurboTax probably don't know what the FREAK they are talking about... this is supposed to be a SIMPLE plan. Must I remind you.

Wow 💣 That SBTG memo is sick! We signed up for that card with the understanding it can be used to receive direct deposits for the government and employers....and they just bail on us like that?

That is exactly why I would rather have seen the apocalypse than the Bailout.
