if I efiled my return and then mailed the return by mistake what will happen

As long as the information is the same...They will end up rejecting the return you mail in. However this could end up delaying them processing your E filed return which in turn could delay your refund. But otherwise you should be fine. Just try to avoid doing this in the future.
