State Refund Wisconsin

Why is my state refund $8,000.00 this year and only $600.00 last year?  The checks all pass. The only difference is my wife retired from teaching August last year and started taking pension and small part time job.

$8,000 is a very large State refund, so start by checking for data entry errors; especially misplaced commas and decimals; or extra zeroes.  Then look at 2019 and 2020 side by side.  Something may stand out.

Thanks, it looks like Turbo Tax put in some large loss in state compared to federal. I have to go back and check. I'm surprised the reviews didn't catch that.
