Schedule 1-A

Turbo tax is forcing me to use Schedule 1-A to take the Enhanced Deduction for seniors.  My income is already less than the standard deduction, so I don't need this.  All this is doing is forcing me to pay for an upgrade to turbotax deluxe for a deduction than I cannot use.  How to I remove this option of using this form?  I have to enter my birth date, so it knows how old I am and it forces me to use this form.

If the total of all income received in 2025 is less than the standard deduction for your filing status there is no reason to file a tax return.  Unless you had federal taxes withheld and then you would file for a tax refund.

Additionally, the Free online edition supports Schedule 1-A

I paid $639 in tax on income received from my retirement account.  So I need to file to get that refunded.

I have 1099-int from savings account and one from a CD that charge me a penalty of $6.93 when it was moved mid year to a higher earning CD.

If you don’t want to claim the $6.93 CD penalty then delete it from the 1099Int box 2.   Then it won’t need Schedule 1.   And yes you can get Schedule 1-A in the Free Edition.  Schedule 1-A and Schedule 1 are completely separate things.
