If you are unable to move forward in your TurboTax program, you can: 

  • Clear your browser cache and cookies. Please click here for instructions on how to clear your cache. Please click here for instructions on clearing your cookies.
  • Try closing TurboTax completely, restart your computer and then update your TurboTax program if you are using a Desktop program. Close TurboTax entirely, restart your computer, and try the update again to clear temporary memory.
  • If you are using TurboTax Desktop, you can manually check for updates for  your TurboTax program by clicking on "Online" in the black bar near the top of your screen and selecting "Check for Updates."
  • Clear any temporary files and run a disk cleanup if needed. 
  • Try running as Administrator if you are using a Desktop version of TurboTax by right-clicking on the TurboTax  icon and selecting Run as Administrator.
  • Temporarily turn off your antivirus protection and firewall
