New York State Refund Requires Further Review

[I posted this in a different category but did not get a response so I am trying in the main category; will remove the duplicate depending on where I get the response]

Hello,
I filed my 2021 NY State taxes over a couple of weeks ago. When I check the status on https://www.tax.ny.gov/online/  , I get this:

"We received your return and it requires further review. This may result in your New York State return taking longer to process than your federal return. No further information is available at this time. See Understanding your refund status on our website."

My state return was straightforward and I don't think I have done any mistakes. I e-filed and NY state owes me a tiny refund (a few hundred dollars).

How many people have seen this? What was their experience after getting this status?
