My return keeps getting rejected with error REJ001.

I have made sure and made sure everything is correct from the EIN to the spelling. But I keep getting rejected. What should I do?

a state return will be rejected if the federal has not been accepted.

Right, but I don't understand why the federal is getting rejected. I have gone over all the numbers and it still gets spit back at me. Like a dollar bill that I try to keep flattening so the vending machine will take it, but it keeps sending it back to me. 

Kind of confused. If I try mailing it in, will it take longer?
