Tax Year Prior to 2020: My cycle code is 20200505. What does this mean? And I found it on my tax transcript for 2019

If you don’t mind me asking.. what day did you file and do you know how long you had the 570 code? I just checked transcripts for first time on Thursday 2/20 so I have no clue how long it’s been there. I originally filed 1/27 and accepted same day. I am a PATHer for Child Tax credit, but not the EITC

Have you gotten any updates? I have codes 570 and 971. I talked to someone from the IRs today who said I was randomly selected for income verification and it could take 60 days. I even have a cycle date of 20200705 but the amount is zeroed out.

No updates here. Still just code 570.. no 971 after it. Same cycle as you 20200705. I can see amount of refund on transcript though. Just no 846 code for DDD

Our return last year had a 570 code and we were not audited. It was a review because one employer sent our W-2 in late so our return earnings didn’t match what the IRS had on file. We did receive a letter saying it was under review.  We didn’t have to provide any info but didn’t receive our refund until July.

Well that’s great. I think what’s happened is that I included my 1098 for school and a week after I filed the school sent me an updated 1098 with different $ amounts. Mid July doesn’t sound fantastic

Did you have the code 570 and you recieved your refund? I have that code and I called the irs and the rep told me my return was pulled for review and to give 60 days which is till April 20th

Still no  change.  the line with 570 on it has date of 2-24-2020 and amount $0.00 - does that mean it's held?

There is no letter code on my transcript but i called and they said I was sent a letter 7 days ago and that I was randomly pulled to review my income - even though nothing has changed since last year :(  60 days is insane!  This is our money and they are earning interest on it every day they withhold it.  For someone who hasn't moved, hasn't changed jobs, and income is within 700 of last years!  They won't even let me have an advocate until the 60 days is up.  Is there a state advocate that can help?

Mine was also “pulled for review” 0.00 in the cycle code line and code 570 and 971. Still no updates anywhere

FINALLY AN UPDATE!

I filed 1/27 and I am a PATHer. I had the code 570 on there for 3 weeks with no other code below it. I have processing date of 3/2/2020 and cycle code 05072020. I just checked my transcripts and FINALLY have the 571 code after 570 (to release the hold/freeze) followed by the 846 refund issued code For refund date 3/4/2020!  WMR has not yet updated but I know that won’t be until tomorrow or a later day.

Did you get your refund on your cycle date even with your 570 code?
