Minimum amount to file 2020 federal tax return - minor

My 17 year old daughter has a 2020 W2 for $1,600 and no federal taxes were deducted.  We claim her as a dependent.  My understanding is that it is below the minimum amount to file and since there was no federal taken out (that she could be refunded) we do not need to have her file federal taxes.  Is that correct?  Thanks!

Yes, you are correct. She is not required to file.
