Medical Expenses still show "Needs review" even though I've entered all of the information

Your Medical Expenses Worksheet may be hanging up on something.  You can delete the worksheet and re-enter your medical expenses and you should be able to proceed.

To delete a specific form in TurboTax Online you can follow these steps:

1. Within your return, click on Tax Tools in the black menu on the left side of the screen.
2. Click on Tools.
3. Click on Delete a Form. 
4. Scroll down to your Medical Expenses Worksheet and click Delete.
5. Under Federal in the black menu bar click Deductions & Credits to get back into your tax returns.
6. Scroll down to Medical Expenses and re-enter your information.
7. Proceed entering/reviewing your return.

To do this in TurboTax Desktop you can follow these steps:

1. Within your return, click on the Forms icon in the upper right of the screen to switch to Forms mode.
2. Scroll down in the menu bar on the left and select your Medical Expenses Worksheet.
3. Click the Delete Form button at the bottom left of the preview screen.
4. Confirm the deletion then click the Step-by-Step icon in the upper right of the screen.
5. Click on the Federal Taxes tab and Deductions & Credits and  I'll choose what I work on.
6. Scroll down to Medical Expenses and Start or Update and re-enter your information.
7. Proceed entering/reviewing your return.

Unfortunately deleting the form and reentering the information didn't work for me. A few others mentioned in the replies that the problem had been fixed in general. I have not found that to be the case. Medical expenses still show "Needs Review" and I've tried all suggested fixes.

It would be helpful to have a TurboTax ".tax2022" file that is experiencing this issue.

You can send us a “diagnostic” file that has your “numbers” but not your personal information.  If you would like to do this, here are the instructions: 

In TurboTax Online, go to the black panel on the left side of your program and select Tax Tools. 

1. Then select Tools below Tax Tools. 
2. A window will pop up which says Tools Center.  
3. On this screen, select Share my file with Agent. 
4. You will see a message explaining what the diagnostic copy is.  Click okay through this screen and then you will get a Token number. 

In TurboTax CD/Download versions, go to the black panel on the top of your screen and select Online. 

1. Scroll down to and select Send tax file to Agent. 
2. You will see a message explaining what the diagnostic copy is.  Click send through this screen and then you will get a Token number. 

Reply to this thread with your Token number and use @AliciaP1 to start your response. This will allow us to open a copy of your return without seeing any personal information.   

We will then be able to see exactly what you are seeing and we can determine what exactly is going on in your return and provide you with a resolution.

Make sure everything that is not needed says $0 amount. It worked!!
