Medical expences

From January to August I had Healthcare government credits for medical insurance payments. I started my Medicare on August 2022. I will not receive Social Security till 2024 and pay bills from my account, 5 months of payment will not show anywhere. Additionally, I buy supplemental insurance and part D too. Can I report all this as Medical expenses? Will these medical expenses be added to the standard deduction or I should use it only if itemized deduction will be used? Yhank you

Medical expences

Medical expenses do not add to the standard deduction for Federal purposes.  if you can't itemize don't enter them. However, certain states allow itemized deductions even when using the standard deduction for Federal if it is greater than what they allow.
