IND-031-04 Reject Error Notice

Why do we have to select a Software if we are already logged and have TurboTax product?  Can't talk to a real person unless you choose a software and start a tax return online?

IND-031-04 Reject Error Notice

there are multiple TurboTax products and add-ons.  the lowest level online free edition does not include live support 

 

the error code means 

 IND-031-04: The primary taxpayer's AGI or Self-select PIN from last year does not match IRS records.

you can get an online tax return transcript through the IRS website to verify your AGI (your pin does not show)

https://www.irs.gov/individuals/get-transcript 

 if your AGI matches the online transcript it means that there is likely an error in the IRS database (separate from the transcript).   in such a case all you can do is mail in your return. 

you can open your 2019 return to verify if the pin is correct. it's at the bottom of the info worksheet.
