Import from Financial Institution -- Why does it force me to "Delete Old Data" when importing Spouse's Tax Forms?

@taxnovice You describe correctly what TT does wrong. Your educated guess as to how this part of its software works internally is feasible - but neither I, nor anyone else on this forum [1] know for sure, or [2] give a **bleep** about its internal workings. Simply put, TurboTax is wrong when it erases all my previous imported data.
