I was on Windows 10 and having a refund of over 4k. Upgraded to Windows 11 and shows I owe 2k???

I was working on my 2021 tax return and had finished income section. I saw over 4k refund. Decided to upgrade to Windows 11 which went fine but bad idea in hind sight. Restart TaurboTax. It does not find my return. Browsed to the file that I saved before Win 11 upgrade. It opens it but shows that I owe over 2k??? What's going on? Have you guys tested it on Win 11? I tried to do a new return but same thing. After I import just my w2 - we are filing a joint return - it shows I owe over $1500. Something is seriously wrong. There's no way I owe taxes. Please help TurboTax!!!

Always print a copy of your completed tax return for your records, and review it carefully before e-Filing.
You will need it if you are audited by the IRS, or to amend if a TurboTax update changes your return or for any other reason,
AND, to find your AGI next year.

Perhaps you do owe the IRS after all.

No sir I have not filed yet. I'm talking about my 2021 taxes. As I mentioned I completed the Income section and TurboTax was showing over 4K refund of Federal Taxes. That's when I gave in to the constant reminders from MS and decided to upgrade to Windows 11.  Bad idea! After the upgrade Turbo Tax is showing I owe over 2K in taxes??? Unbelievable! I didn't change a thing. How can the numbers change just because of Win 11 upgrade?? I don't know what to do now. Can't go back to Windows 10 or can I? i don't know. Extremely frustrating :(.

uninstall TurboTax and then reinstall it. Start a new tax file.

Hint, or word to the wise: never upgrade operating system during tax season.

BUT

I'm not convinced Windows 11 has anything to do with it.

I see you got no help here. Typical of turbotax, as they do not even have an email or online venue for reporting issues (I've found at least 3 glitches so far, along with reported ones from previous years that continue to be ignored).

This year:

I installed and used turbotax 2021 home and business. Used up the 5 e-files. Tried to delete the program (many, many times, using the online methods). When I install a brand new Turbotax 2021 Deluxe, it still shows home and business, and says I used up all my efiles. It also automatically installs my original state as part of the installation (without asking), and never asks for the installation code.

Related to windows 11? I don't know. Can't find any current information.
