I selected TurboTax Delux because I needed to file 1099-MISC Miscellaneous income. When I tried to file, "Pay with your refund" was added with $40 more. Why is that?

I selected TurboTax Delux because I needed to file 1099-MISC Miscellaneous income. When I tried to file, "Pay with your refund" was added with $40 more. Why is that?

Presumably you are paying some sort of filing fees. Turbo tax gives you the option to pay the fees out of your refund, but then charges you a fee to do that. Alternatively you can just pay the filing fees with a credit card and avoid the "pay with your refund" fee.
