I receive welfare, and I've got HUD housing ?

If I receive welfare and HUD housing assistance how do I file a tax claim?

If you have no taxable income you have nothing to enter on a tax return.   Welfare and/or public assistance does not get entered on a tax return, nor does your housing.   If you cannot be claimed as someone else's dependent then you can file a tax return in order to seek the recovery rebate credit in Federal Review----if you did NOT already receive the stimulus check(s).   Or...if you have dependent children you can file a 2021 return to get the child tax credit.   You can enter a $1 of interest so that you can e-file the tax return, and use "zero" as your AGI.  If someone else can claim you as a dependent, then you are not eligible for the recovery rebate credit or the child tax credit.
