I needed to file 1040-ES from 2022 taxes. The same conditions do not exist for 2023. How do I suppress the 2023 1040-ES that TurboTax wants to file this year?

TurboTax does not file forms 1040-ES. They are generated for your information (and use if you need to pay estimated tax). If you deem that you do not need to need to pay estimated taxes for tax year 2023, you can just discard the forms 1040-ES.

Now...if you actually PAID-in $$ for 2022 quarterly estimated taxes to the IRS or State during 2022 (or Jan 2023) FOR your 2022 tax return?

Then...you don't use the 1040ES forms to enter those payments in the software.

What you do is you look for the Estimated taxes section on the Federal.... Deductions&Credits page, and look for the menu item there to go in and record what $$ you actually did pay...for whichever quarter(s) you made those payments.
