If you do not remember your 2018 PIN you must find your 2018 AGI. See How do I find last year’s AGI? - Community
so are the figures on line 7 the agi pin number
The IRS requires that your Adjusted Gross Income (AGI) from your tax return from the previous year be included with any tax return e-filed this year.
You can find your 2018 AGI on Line 7 of your Form 1040.
If you had filed with TurboTax last year, the AGI would have been automatically added to the return. If you did not file with TurboTax last year (or if you filed in a different TurboTax account), you will need to enter the AGI from last year manually. The AGI is added near the end of the filing process, just before filing the return.
To find the AGI from a different TurboTax account, sign in to that account, then scroll down on the opening page until you get to Your Tax Returns and Documents. Chose 2018 and download your tax return.
If your previous year tax returns are not available, you can use the IRS Get Transcript tool. Try the online option first. If you are unable to obtain the transcript online, you can have one sent to the address the IRS has on record for you. You can find IRS Get Transcript here.
I need my 2019 AGI pin to complete my information for my stimulus package
You likely need your 2018 Adjusted Gross Income number. If you did not file in 2018, then your AGI is $0. Otherwise, you can find it on Line 7, of your 2018 Form 1040.
My son put in 2 weeks ago to get his AGI by mail as he can't find his forms from last year. Now after looking for it in the mail for the past weeks, he reads on the IRS site that they are NOT mailing anything out. When he tries to do it online, it requires a student loan, mortgage, car loan or credit card to verify his identity. He has none of those. Tried calling the IRS and no one is picking up. Any ideas for him? He's finished his taxes but can't complete without last year's AGI.
Sadly, this procedure is not working for everyone. Here's what the site says:
We have stopped processing transcript requests by mail until further notice. If you only need to find out how much you owe or verify payments you made within the last 18 months, you can view your tax account.
In order to view the account online, one must have some form of debt - either a credit card, auto loan, student loan or mortgage. My son has none of these so he's stuck trying to file his taxes and missing out
