I have attempted to enter my purchases and the software continually posts a low number. I've attempted to change the numbers to and obscenely high number and it does not affect the refund one bit. I even changed it to my entire AGI and no change. It's as though the software does not recognize it at all. Has anyone else experienced this?

The Tax Cuts and Jobs Act eliminated most miscellaneous itemized deductions including the employee business expenses/unreimbursed expenses. If you are a W2 employee, you no longer can deduct job related expenses.
