How to import transactions?

Please follow the steps below to import your 1099 Forms:

  1. Click on Tax Home from the Left Side Menu.
  2. Click on Income & Expenses from the main screen. Then click on Review/Edit, or Work on Other Income.
  3. Then Scroll Down to the Investments and Savings Section. You will see option for 1099-Int, 1099-Div and 1099-B.
  4. You can select the appropriate option. For example, if you want to report capital gains, you will select 1099-B. It will then give you the option to search for your financial institution and import from there.

How to import transactions?

The information that came up with this search had nothing to do with importing transaction. I need to know how to import from Charles Schwab.

Thanks

How to import transactions?

Here's how to import:

  1. Sign in to TurboTax and open or continue your return
  2. Search for the name of your form (like 1099-B), and select the Jump to link in the search results
  3. Follow the screens and you’ll be able to import your form

Here's the TurboTax link for more info.

How to import transactions?

When trying to import to downloaded TurboTax Premier 2022 on my up-to-date Mac, I had a hard time importing from Charles Schwab. I could find it on the list, but when I clicked "Allow" button, it wanted to access my computer's Keychain Access which I don't use. I got stuck, tried the computer password (and the C.S. password), which it rejected. After hitting Deny repeatedly, I was able to escape that window. Neither TurboTax information online nor Apple support were any help.

Before I resorted to entering information manually, I tried one more time and used the "Always Allow" button instead. Everything was easy after that, and there were still secure options like not allowing it to remember my Schwab password. One other account had the same issue.

Hope it works for you, too. Or maybe TurboTax or Schwab  will make it work better with "Allow" button.
