How do I report a problem to TurboTax?

NYS IT-228 form is rejecting the 10 digit tax receipt number that NYS is requiring this year for SUNY Impact (instead of a 15 digit code). Turbotax won't let me submit my tax forms because of the error in your coding. No one to talk to with your phone number, and I'm not paying for "expert assistance" when you have the issue, not me. This is crazy. No way to report that you have something screwed up. On desktop, home and business edition, form NYS IT-228, line 20a.

How do I report a problem to TurboTax?

I’m using my computer and app, both have the same problem. When I go into the IRA distribution section on previous year distributions, it asks questions about myself and when I say no it doesn’t go any further. When I say yes and enter info it then asks about my spouse. It needs to ask about my spouse even if I say no. Please fix this. There should also be away to report a bug in your software without posting to a public forum. Your AI answers aren’t helpful. I need you to quality check your product.

How do I report a problem to TurboTax?

I am in the process of doing my deceased husband's Trust in TurboTax Business. I have completed deductions for  three rental properties but when I get to the part where TurboTax ask me "if I have any other property expenses", I reply "yes". The problem is what  I write down for one rental property appears for all three properties. Can you help me? I believe this is a programming problem.

How do I report a problem to TurboTax?

using deluxe desktop version.  For state of WI filing, the taxes paid to another state is calculating correctly and can see all the back up calculations for it.   It then takes that amount and updates my schedule 1 form correctly.  But when I go to see the final forms for filing in PDF it is printing with no data on that form.   How do I fix this?

How do I report a problem to TurboTax?

I am using TT 2025 Desktop Premier and when I select to print the South Carolina state return for filing the first couple pages print fine then subsequent pages are blank and then some are partially printed.  I tried printing it twice with same result.  I printed a copy of my federal for my records and had no problem with that printing correctly.

As a work around for printing the SC state return for filing, I printed each of the 20 pages one by one successfully.

I did check for updates and it indicated my TT was up to date.

@superj53

I never print from Turbo Tax since I e-file Fed and State.

But I do save as PDF to review.

What happens if you save as PDF?  If that works, you can then print your PDF.

Just guessing this might work.  Let me know please.

How do I report a problem to TurboTax?

I am on a telephone hold.  However, I believe there is an issue with Turbo Tax Deluxe Desktop for MAC.  I believe it occurs on Line D of the Smart Worksheet (1040 Line 6) labeled "Earlier Year Tax Return Smart Worksheet for Social Security Lump Sun Benefits.  I received a lump-sum benefit in 2025 for the 2024 tax year.  The calculation use my taxable social security benefits from 2024.  The system automatically and incorrectly input a taxable amount $21,762  from my 2024 return.  However, my 2024 return actually shows a TAXABLE amount of of $25,602 (85% of gross benefit of $30,120).   85% of $25,602 is $21,762.  Thus, the 85% was calculated twice in error.  I cannot manually change this amount.  Please let me know how to proceed as soon as possible.

How do I report a problem to TurboTax?

The Social Security Worksheet in TurboTax Deluxe has some features that you can use when you have a lump sum that was received in the prior year.

The worksheet has a box that would be checked if the user received Social Security in the previous tax year - in this case, 2024. If there was a lump sum received from Social Security in a prior year, there may be a portion taxable in the current year. If you right-click on the box, an option pops up to click "About prior year benefits box". If you click on that option, an explanation appears that includes details on how to calculate the current year taxable portion of a lump sum received in a prior year.

If you are in a TurboTax Desktop product such as Deluxe, in the step by step mode, you can see the worksheet that relates to the screen you are working on by clicking on View on the top bar menu and selecting Forms.

Try deleting Form 5695 and step through the Home Energy interview again to let it repopulate.
