How do I report a 1099 Misc that was sent to me by a previous employer for unpaid bonus money and vacation time?

You Form 1099-MISC will be reported as other income on line 20 of schedule 1. See the (screenshot) below for reference.

Follow the directions below to enter your Form 1099-MISC.

  1. Log in and click take me to my return (unless already in).
  2. Click the Federal tab on the left side of the screen.
  3. On the next page, scroll down to see all income and click Show More beside Other Common Income.
  4. Click Start beside Form 1099-MISC and click Yes on the next page.
  5. On the next page, enter the information from your 1099-MISC and click continue.
  6. On the next page, you will describe the reason for your 1099-MISC. 
  7. Continue to follow the prompts on the remaining screens to finish filing this income.

I'VE TRIED TO UPLOAD DOCS FOR 2017 1099-MISC FORM AND IT WON'T UPLOAD.  HELP

For prior years, you will need to manually enter.
