How do I enter interest income in another state

You don't need to report interest income from an out-of-state bank account on a nonresident return. It only needs to be reported on your federal and resident state return.

To report the interest income:

  • Login to your account.
  • Select Federal from the left Menu
  • Go to Wages and Income then Income and Expenses.
  • Scroll down to Interest and Dividends
  • Select Star next to Interest on 1099-INT
