how do i clear and start over? the option is not available under "tax tools" and i have not paid for anything within my tax return.

the option is not under tax tools, and i cannot find it anywhere else. i have not paid for any service within turbotax i just want to start over and switch to itemized deduction

To clear your entire tax return and start over if you haven't paid and using TurboTax Online:

1. Login to TurboTax and select Continue
2. Select Tax Tools 
3. Select Clear & Start Over.

If you are using TurboTax Desktop, start a new return by selecting File and New Return.

You don't have to clear or start over.  The Free Edition does not have itemized deductions.  But you can upgrade to Deluxe to enter them.
