My wife and I both received C21B notices in December of 2021 that we were receiving a refund. It's now March 31, 2022 and we still have not received this refund. I've tried to contact the IRS several times but the automated system doesn't have items regarding refunds only payments (hmm I wonder why?) and the system will put me on hold for hours and eventually hang up on me. I've also tried the where's my refund online option but that says there's an error with the information I entered, I assume the amount since I know my SSN.
Anyone else have this issue and we're able to resolve it?

Yes, these are the steps I taken in the past. However, I get a message saying they are experiencing higher than normal call volumes and are unable to handle my request and then it hangs up on me. I guess I will try them at 4 am (I'm on the west coast)
