E-Filing

Federal return rejected.  Married filing jointly and primary taxpayer Adjusted Gross Income (AGI) for 2018 was used as verification for 2019 tax return.  The Fed rejected the return as said AGI was inaccurate even though the amount reported via Turbo Tax is correct.  Is this because Turbo Tax also asked for spouse AGI which was submitted again with same amount?

E-Filing

I got the same issue. IND-032-04 - 'SpousePriorYearPIN' or 'SpousePriorYearAGIAmt' in the Return Header must match the e-File database. I don't think there was a PIN but I keep getting the same AGI AMT error. Not sure what is going on.

Yes. Were you both married in 2018 and did you file jointly in 2018?

E-Filing

To answer your question: Yes - we filed as married filing jointly in 2018.  Maybe the problem is, my husband passed away in February 2019 and he is still the primary taxpayer.  I am now trying to file again as married filing jointly but as a surviving spouse.  The return is rejected because they can't confirm my deceased husband's identity even though I gave the IRS his PIN and AGI for 2018.  Turbo Tax asked if I filed in 2018 and I said yes and gave them the same AGI as my husband. It was rejected. I resubmitted the return removing my information (even though the return included my PIN entered by Turbo Tax automatically) and it was rejected again.  Am I making a mistake somewhere or is there a glich in the E-filing process?
