I downloaded the necessary information from my brokerage account but the hard copy I received indicates that the information was not final (I did not see this before I downloaded). When that information becomes available will I need to delete what is already in my tax form and then download it again? (or is there some way to just add the information that was not previously available?)
You'll need to sign in or create an account to connect with an expert.
You will need to delete what you have already imported, and then re-import the information. Do not file your return until you have the corrected 1099-B imported.
I downloaded my investment information into my return, but have not yet filed it. Now I've received revised information. Do I need to delete the previous information or can I download over it?
You need to delete the previous information before you download the new information.
Once you have downloaded the new information please review to make sure it matches the information on your 1099-B form.
