Discontinuation of It's Deductible...Again?

I agree. With all of the changes to TurboTax in recent years, ItsDeductible was one of the last elements keeping me within the TT environment.  

What are everyone’s recommendations for the best TT alternatives that incorporate a charitable deduction component?

In full agreement Not Today. This is just a poor business decision. A more customer-based approach is tell people at the beginning of 2025 that you plan to discontinue use starting in 2026. Pulling this in Oct is ludicrous. 

Here is what it does for someone like me ... after 20+ years using Quicken, Turbotax and Its deductible, it gives me the perfect reason to move on to newer financial management software to replace Quicken and switch to H&R Block or an alternative.

I have to say that from a customer standpoint you all are tone deaf. It's deductible is unique and incredibly helpful. You touted last year that you listened and kept the product. It sounded like you actually cared what people wanted. Now you pull it again in a terse note. I do not understand. If it is a financial thing, charge for it. If it is a product portfolio thing - let a third party pick it up. Just leaving your customers that have counted on it for years in a lurch is so bad. I really am reconsidering what tax package I will use this fall.

Dear Sirs,
I was disappointed to learn that Intuit plans to discontinue ItsDeductible on October 21, 2025. I am particularly annoyed/disgusted that the random date in October was chosen - mid tax year! Did the executives who made this absurd decision consider us, the users?? The discontinuation of ItsDeductible was threaten in the pass and luckily the executives reversed course after significant backlash and complaints. Clearly this tool along with Turbo Tax matters to most users and helps support charitable donations.

Please Please Please don’t discontinue ItsDeductible. I have been using Turbo Tax and Its Deductible for years. Its integration into TurboTax is a major reason why I continue to purchase & use Turbo Tax for the completion of my taxes. Minimally keep ItsDeductible for the complete 2025 tax preparation. I would even be willing to purchase it as a separate software package in addition to Turbo Tax.

Bottom Line: If you do end Its Deductible, I will no longer use any Intuit products and will switch to your competitors' integrated applications that allow tracking of charitable donations. You will be forcing a lot of users to no longer donate & have these items end up in land fills vs supporting local charities.

I completely agree with you.  ItsDeductible is one if the main reasons for our using TurboTax.  I’ve been a user for several decades.   If it’s deleted, I, too will switch.  You mentioned “competitors' integrated applications that allow tracking of charitable donations.”   Could you share some of them with us as we start looking for alternatives to TT.   Thank you.

deductib.ly looks like a very promising alternative.  Its actually built by a group of disgruntled itsdeductible users and they say it will be importable into our current software (although I don't intend to continue using turbotax because of this debacle.

This makes no sense Intuit.  You tried discontinuing this before only to reverse course after customer pushback. It's not like we customers suddenly abandoned ItsDeductible.  Also, as pointed out by other customers, discontinuing less than 3 months before tax season is just plain stupid.  This is NOT good customer service and there are no maybes on my end ... I am leaving Intuit and finding a different platform for my 2025 taxes.
