here we are at March 29, and I STILL cannot get my Schwab accounts info to import into TT. VERY frustrating. ALso, in reading some of these tips from "Employee Expert", I do not see the icon at top left of browser bar where they say I should be able to find "Account Access". All I find is the icon for "View Site Information". When I click on that I do not see anything resembling "Account Access". WHy hasn't TT fixed this, it has been months already and we are getting down to the deadline! I need this to work! Helllp!
Are your using online or desktop version?
when you look at Schwab are your tax documents available in pdf and csv formats?
Here are some more troubleshooting ideas for you to import your 1099 forms:
You could also enter your information manually, follow the steps below and select Skip Import. Then follow the remaining screens to manually add your 1099-B data.
You can use your summary of transactions separated by the short term and long term holdings based on how long you have held the investments. This is acceptable to the IRS and you have the detail to keep with your tax return files should they request them.
There is NO shield icon on the URL, left or right side.
Entering manually for a complicated 1099-B (with DIV and INT and sales) from Schwab is not an option for me, it is way too complex. I need to trust that TurboTax is getting it right.
looking at a pdf. I don't know what form they are in for import into software like TT.
When you look at 1099 dashboard on Schwab you should see the various formats for the documents. TT uses CSV files. If CSV files are not indicated you will not be able to import from Schwab
