Since you have a part-time job, you certainly can file a tax return and it may be worth going through the process at TurboTax.com to see if there would be any benefit to filing. For example, your employer may have withheld taxes that might be refundable to you or you may be eligible for certain refundable credits.   Whether or not you are required to file a tax return is determined by the amount of income that you earned at your part-time job and other factors such as your filing status.
