can I claim my brothers that live outside the country?

my brothers and mom live outside the United States and I was wondering if I can claim them on my taxes.

I send them money frequently.

they down have any US Id nor social security cards.

can I claim my brothers that live outside the country?

Unless your relatives are residents of Canada or Mexico, you cannot claim them as your dependent if the are not US citizens or resident aliens.

even then they would need ITIN's or SSN's to be taken as dependents.
