Can anyone explain this question for me please? “You were a US citizen or legal resident (visa holders are not considered legal residents).”

Im just curious if it’s asking if i’m no longer a citizen or what. I am confused.

@378f29e73d18 , not knowing the context of the question,  a visa holder is generally NOT a resident  for  immigration purposes.  Work visa holders are  Resident for Tax Purposes ONLY.

Citizens and  GreenCard holders  ( immigrant visa ) are  residents.
