Audit defence fee requested again upon refiling a return rejected by the IRS.

My tax return was rejected by the IRS.  During refiling I was asked if I wanted to purchase the Audit Defence service which I had purchased a few days earlier.  Does that service apply to the 2021 tax year or only for each time the return is filed?
