Why are they asking about my child under 24 earning any income, when I do not even have a child under 24?? I am the child (22). I answered all questions in information/profile correctly, someone can claim me as a dependent, etc.

Many people do have children who are not listed on their tax return. Special tax rules apply to children under the age of 24 whether or not they are claimed on the tax return, and TurboTax needs to inquire about this in order to ensure that the tax return accurately accounts for those cases when those rules apply.
On my 16 year old son's taxes it asked the under 24 question- We thought it was a question for me his mom- We answered yes he has income from a job- But now turbo tax wont let us change answer unless something else of taxes change we dont know what to do- It just tells us that Aidan doesn't have enough unearned income- Aidan doesn't have a dependent- how can we change this answer
You may need to clear and start over so this information is removed from the file.
If you log into his return
Go to Federal
On the left hand side Tools
Then Clear and Start Over
