Since this will be my first time filing after making over 600, do I file quarterly since we’re in June already or do I wait and file with my 2022 taxes?

The IRS expects payments by the deadline. If you miss the due date, make the quarterly tax payment as soon as you can. You should not wait until the next quarter to make it up. You may incur the underpayment tax penalty. The penalty is calculated by:

  • How much you you owe
  • How long it took before you finally paid

You’ll pay more the longer you wait.
