Is there a way to check if the form 8606 is filled out correctly after doing the Roth conversion step? I was able to look at the 1040 summary and saw the IRA contribution and zero taxable amount correctly…but then there was a small amount in the IRA deduction box, which should be zero…so I’m not sure what happened. I tried to query 8606 but can’t go to the form…it just explains what it is.
Also - is the question “Are you covered by a HDHP - high deductible health plan as of Dec 1, 2022” just mean any health insurance besides Medicare, Medicaid (Exclusions listed under the question) …or is it only specific plans. I have the 1095-C form that confirms health insurance coverage, but I have not inputted that info anywhere yet.
Thanks! TaxDocMama

The question “Are you covered by a HDHP plan as of December 2022”, is referring to a high deductible plan with a deductible of at least $1,400 for an induvial ($2,800 for a family). It does not mean any other health insurance besides Medicare and Medicaid. Please review the TurboTax Help article What is a high-deductible health plan (HDHP)? for additional information.
