8453-pe form not supported

I'm trying to e-file my partnership return using Turbo Tax Business. It says I must include form 8453-PE, but when I try to print the form it says "DO NOT FILE. FORM NOT FINAL". According to the Turbo Tax list of forms, this one is not supported. Is it needed to e-file? If so, can I e-file without it and mail it in later? Thanks in advance!

That form has not yet been finalized but is projected to be finalized on 1/23/2026.

Intuit will require that form to be signed and dated and included in order for you to e-file your 1065.

Thank you for your quick response! 😀

The Form 8453-PE is still listed as "unsupported". I am guessing this is why I cannot e-file my 1065. Is there a revised date of when it will be completed?

It depends. The "8453" forms are used for signatures and often need you to scan and upload a signed document or attach paper forms, like brokerage statements. The software needs these attachments sent to the IRS in a certain format..

TurboTax usually waits until the IRS "Modernized e-File" (MeF) system has been running for a few weeks to make sure these attachments won’t cause any issues with your filing. Since the IRS started accepting efile returns on January 26, I would wait until February 9 to file your return.
