1099DIV box 3 Non dividend distribution

I have a Vanguard 1099 DIV, Box 1a $1698.00 Box 1b $1398, Box 2a Total Capital Gain $74.87, then I have Box 3 - Non dividend distributions for $79.14

On the same Vanguard tax document, I have 1099B - a sale from one stock for Short Term: Proceeds $3567.48 with a Cost Basis $2575.50 and a sale from one stock for Long Term - Proceeds $7.59 and Cost Basis $5.10

My question is - do I do anything from the 1099Div box 3 non dividend distribution listed above for $79.14 to the stocks that were sold in 2021?

Thank you

No. Vanguard should have reduced the cost basis for the mutual fund that paid that dividend.

where do I place the amount in box 3  that appears with my  dividends on a 1099 composite form from Charles Schwab?

I am assuming that you have the 1099-DIV entered. On the entry screen, there is a box to check if you have more information that the first 2 boxes. The box 3 nondividend distributions are entered there.

I think you are asking more than the entry but am not sure what the question is. The question above yours dealt with how it does not relate to the basis. Can you clarify your question?
