Last year I owed 200$ in taxes this year I received 705 in taxes. Do I still have to pay the 250?

  • Did you file a 2023 tax return?
  • When did you file it?
  • Was it the 2023 return that you owe +/- $200?
  • Did you make that payment?
  • Have you already filed your 2024 tax return?

Yeah I filed my 2024 taxes already and no I didn't pay the 200

@jacobie57 If you still owe tax due from 2023 to the IRS, but your 2024 return shows a refund, the IRS is going to offset your 2024 refund for the tax you still owe from 2023----with interest.  Do not expect the full amount of the refund shown on your Form 1040.
