Question regarding dependents

Hello!

I want to add a family member as a dependent. They haven’t worked all year, however they were hired last year and haven’t been at the company a long time and were let go before they could receive a paycheck.

That being said, when asked “If their income is more than $5050 in 2024?” Would I put no, since he was hired, but wasn’t there long enough to receive his first paycheck?

Yes, you should answer the question as [No] if he did not earn $5,000 in 2024.
